Alex Elerick - Community Ed Director

My name is Alex and this is my 5th year working with Hockinson Community Education. I’ve worked with Community Education since 2018 as the After School Adventures assistant and this last year took over as the Community Education Director.

I graduated from Hockinson back in 2017 and have loved being able to work in the same small town that I got to grow up in. I moved to downtown Vancouver a little over two years ago and this last spring I got married. In my free time, I enjoy listening to podcasts, going to the theatre, and going for walks around downtown.

Despite some harrowing times, the last couple of years have allowed Community Education to expand and thrive and I'm very thankful to be a part of that. I get to work with such an amazing team of people and I look forward to seeing our programs continue to grow.

Coleen Parthemer - Childcare Coordianator

Hello! I am Coleen and this is my 6th year working for the Hockinson School District’s Community Education department. As the After School Adventures Director, I am very excited for the school year to meet our students and help them grow! In addition to working for Community Education, I will also be continuing my 8th year coaching girls basketball at HHS in the winter.

I grew up here in Hockinson where I met my husband Jarren of 6 years; needless to say, this small town has a special place in our hearts! After graduating from WSUV with a bachelor's in Child Development and a minor in psychology, Jarren and I got married and moved to Ridgefield. We welcomed our son Mailo into the world in 2019 and our daughter Rhylie was born in February of 2021. We are a busy little family and love spending the weekends outside at the park and snuggling our cat, George.

Working with and walking alongside students in Hockinson is my passion; what an awesome little community we get to call home!
